OUR PROGRAMS
All donors will receive the proper tax documentation and receipts.
Uncle Bob’s Memorial Scholarship was founded by the late Bob Boughton Sr.'s grandson, Kerry Boughton. We are a registered 501 (c)(3) non-for-profit organization. Our mission is to provide financial support to individuals through our scholarship programs.

SUNY Schools:
As of 2025 we now offer two $500 second semester SUNY scholarships. Eligibility and additional information listed on our general info page.
High School Scholarships:
Three scholarships awarded annually: $1,250, and two at $750.
Two $500 scholarships offered to non-Kingston graduates throughout Ulster County.
Youth Grant Program:
Children ages 3 to 17 are eligible to receive grant money for various activities ranging from but not limited to: school field trips, travel sports, camps, clinics, martial arts training, Ulster BOCES, vocational therapy, and much more.
Our goal is to expand these programs, continuing to honor Bob Boughton Sr., who dedicated over 60 years to community-oriented initiatives such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Metropolitan Knothole League. This expansion is made possible through the generous support of donors like you, whether through monetary contributions or item donations for our raffles.

Our scholarship programs are designed to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. By alleviating the financial burden of education, we enable these individuals to focus on their studies, pursue their passions, and achieve their full potential.
Our flagship program, the Kingston High School Scholarships, awards three annual scholarships to outstanding seniors. These scholarships, valued at $1,000, $500, and $500, recognize the hard work and dedication of students who strive for excellence both inside and outside the classroom. In addition, our Seasonal Youth Scholarships offer $200 awards to support a diverse range of activities, from travel sports to educational ventures, fostering holistic development and encouraging active participation in community life.
